About our Cemetery

Cheltenham Pioneer Cemetery is an intimate, historical cemetery. Characterised by shade, established trees and closeness to the community, the grounds cover 3 hectares (5 acres).

We are one of eight cemeteries within the care of the Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (SMCT) and the smallest cemetery in the group. Our beautiful grounds offer a range of burial and cremation memorial options to choose from.

Our continuing care of the cemetery

At Cheltenham Pioneer Cemetery we are proud of our historic grounds and the very special areas in which to honour and celebrate life. Our skilled maintenance teams, arborists and horticulturists work year round to keep our grounds in pristine condition.
